Packages

Gold Package

Includes one round of developmental editing, one round of line/copy editing, and two passes of proofreading, as well as one bookmark and four social media teaser designs. Free blurb editing included. This service is $1,380 split into three payments.

Silver Package

Includes a manuscript critique and one round of line/copy editing, as well as one bookmark and two social media teaser designs. Free blurb editing included. This service is $1,180 split into three payments.

Bronze Package

Includes one round of line/copy editing and two passes of proofreading, as well as one bookmark and one social media teaser design. Free blurb editing included. This service is $980 split into three payments.
Each package is for 50,000-100,000 words. All packages are paid in installments of three, with 1/3 being due as a non-refundable deposit. The second payment is due on the day the first edit begins, while the third payment is due before final work is released for the overall package. Turnaround times vary depending on word count length. 

À La Carte Services

Full Manuscript Critique

Includes feedback on the opening scene, story arc, pacing, world-building, character development, and overall strengths and weaknesses in the form of a 3-5-page document with editorial comments. This service is $350.

Line/Copy Editing

Includes a line by line edit of your manuscript addressing issues in clarity, conciseness, consistency, and syntax, as well as issues in spelling, grammar, and punctuation. I will also offer minor developmental feedback on character development, world-building, and showing versus telling. This service is $.012/word. 

Three-Chapter Critique

All that is included in the Manuscript Critique/Evaluation service, but for only three chapters of your manuscript. This service is charged at a flat rate of $86.

Fiction Developmental Editing

​Includes in-line comments on suggested revisions, a full manuscript critique/evaluation, and additional resources addressing issues found upon request. This service is $.015/word.

Fiction Rewriting with Detail

​Includes minor added detail, suggestions for additional or altered scenes, brainstorming hiccups in scenes and overall plot, fact-checking, and a complete fiction rewrite in native English. This service is $.021/word.

Proofreading

Includes checking for issues in spelling, grammar, and punctuation, as well as any consistency errors. This service is $.008/word. 

1,000-Word Sample Edit

This service is 100% free and allows me to assess the manuscript in order to determine what type of editing is required for your document prior to publication or querying. I am typically asked to complete a sample of my Line/Copy Editing service, though I may recommend a developmental edit or rewrite if necessary and edit accordingly depending on your needs. 

Deposit

For all manuscripts over 20,000 words, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required to schedule my à la carte services. Invoices are typically sent via PayPal, but I also accept other forms of payment. 

​Contract

All clients are also required to fill out a contract outlining the scope of work and expectations for each individual project. Contracts are sent to clients via SignWell and are legally binding for both parties.
